The quality control at Microsoft, is abysmal. I obviously love the device, that's why I bought it. A $200 Chromebook browses the web better than this Surface Book does right now.
People don't spend two thousand dollars to have a laptop that flickers while browsing the damn internet. You sound like you work at Microsoft in the quality control department and you're trying to save your job. Seriously, in all seriousness, go read what you've been poating. If I spend nearly two thousand dollars on a 2 in 1 device and I can't even detach the screen or the screen flickers while browsing the web, obviously that is a big issue and yes people should complain, are you fricking kidding me? If no one complains and returns the book, the problems won't get fixed. So I should spend 1500+ on a laptop/Surface and not have the right to express my opinion on how lack luster it is? So you really think companies will do anything if they aren't aware of a problem?
